Olivia's Chocolate Won Tons

Olivia's Won Tons are a favorite around here and really easy and fun to make.  There are a few different mixtures that you can fill them with and they all taste are delicious and get eaten right up, whether they are fried, steamed, or cooked in a soup (her grandmother's favorite).

Her latest creation, Chocolate Won Tons, is a big hit.  Do not file this recipe under "health food"!  They are filled with chunks of chocolate, fried until golden (at which point, the chocolate is melted inside and yummy), then sprinkled with confectioner's sugar. This is something fun to serve as a dessert for a party, served with a scoop of ice cream. Or why not serve them at a wedding?  By the way, if anyone is planning a wedding (perhaps in July?) and doesn't send me an invitation, I will be hurt.

Chocolate Won Tons

This is so easy! Just take a square of chocolate (light or dark) and fold the won ton wrappers around it - use a little water to moisten the outer edges of the dough so that they stick together...then fold into little triangles or purses.  Fry 3 or 4 at a time in vegetable oil until golden.  Drain them on paper towels, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and transfer to a serving plateThey're a guilty treat!

Chocolate is nature’s way of making up for Mondays.
